Bishop Found Homeless and Drunk Tearfully Over Church Debts

In a heartbreaking twist of fate, Bishop Sarah, once a respected founder of Life Vision Freedom Ministries and overseer of seven thriving churches in Ruiru, has been found homeless, drunk, and broken, tearfully recounting how her life spiraled into despair.

Once a beacon of hope and spiritual guidance, Bishop Sarah shocked Kenyans when a video surfaced showing her in a severely distressed state, wandering the streets and visibly intoxicated. Her story, shared by a concerned good Samaritan identified as Kinyanya, has gone viral and ignited national conversation on mental health, betrayal, and the plight of abandoned leaders.

Speaking through tears, Bishop Sarah revealed the tragic chain of events that led to her downfall.

“My church was in Ruiru, and God had blessed me with seven branches, each with a pastor. I mentored so many spiritual children… but it all went to waste,” she cried.

According to Sarah, the very pastors she once raised turned their backs on her when she fell on hard times. After losing her savings and source of income, she was unable to pay her rent or her child’s school fees. Soon, her house was locked, her possessions taken, and she found herself destitute and hopeless.

“People can judge me, but I wouldn’t wish what I’ve gone through on anyone,” she said, weeping.

Worse still, Bishop Sarah revealed the grim situation of her children. Her eldest is currently in jail, and she hasn’t been able to support or shelter any of them.

“My kids are out there. I ended up walking long distances just to find a bar where I could quiet my mind,” she confessed.

The video of Sarah’s shocking transformation left many Kenyans speechless, especially those who once looked up to her powerful sermons and healing ministry. The woman who once prayed for multitudes now sleeps rough, unseen and forgotten—until now.

Social media has since been flooded with messages of sympathy and outrage. Many questioned how an entire network of churches could abandon the very person who founded them.

@mamakegirls wrote: “Seven churches and not one person to stand by her… that’s heartbreaking.”

@seekers001 asked: “If even a bishop can be abandoned like this, where are the faithful?”

However, all hope is not lost. Thanks to the awareness raised by Kinyanya’s post, Bishop Sarah is now undergoing treatment at Beyond Love Rehabilitation Centre. The cost for her full recovery over the next three months is projected at KSh 340,000, and well-wishers have already begun fundraising efforts.

Messages of support and faith continue to pour in:

“There is hope for a tree that has been cut down; it can sprout again,” one user quoted from Job 14:7.

Pastor John Muiyuro added: “God is a restorer. Bishop Sarah, you will rise again.”

Her story has sparked renewed discussions around the treatment of religious leaders, the mental health toll of leadership, and the importance of community support even after the spotlight fades.

As the nation watches and prays, Bishop Sarah’s journey from glory to despair—and possibly back to restoration—serves as a sobering reminder: even the strongest can fall, and no one is immune to life’s storms. But with compassion, support, and faith, healing is possible.
