The truth will set me free! Among responds to Museveni on UK house ownership claims

Speaker of Parliament Anita Among has refuted claims by the United Kingdom that she knows a house in their country.

Addressing the matter for the first time since it appeared in the public domain as revealed from President Museveni’s letters, Ms Among presented documents on her X page on Wednesday evening, insisting that the house that she purportedly owns is not registered in her names.

She was responding to the latest letter from the President dated May 23 who is tasking her to confirm or deny the house ownership claims and asking the IGG to investigate.

“The alleged house plot, Flat 4, Silk House, 7 Waterden Road, London, E20 3AL, United Kingdom, which they informed the President is owned by myself, surely has an owner who is registered in their own system (the UK Government), and this owner, as per their own record, is not Anita Among,” she wrote on Wednesday evening.
