Zari, Shakib Fight Again Over Diamond Platnumz Surprise Visit

It’s trouble in paradise once again for Ugandan power couple, Zari Hassan and Shakib Lutaaya.

The celebrity couple had another big fight following a visit by Zari’s ex, Diamond Platnumz to her South African home.

The Tanzanian singer unexpectedly checked in to be part of his daughter Latifah’s birthday.

This reportedly incensed Shakib, who lives in Kampala. He accused his wife of maintaining a strong bond with his children’s father.

“He was mad, he questioned me on why I didn’t tell him Diamond was coming. He said, maybe I’m still in love with the father of my children,” Zari recounted in a live stream.

Zari explained, however, that she was not aware of Diamond’s plan to visit, which she said was arranged by the people who live at her house.

She explained, “Diamond all along has not been calling me. He complained that I don’t pick up his calls because my husband is always around.

“So, he asked me for the numbers of the people who are always at home so he can talk to his children whenever he wants.”

Zari says she decided to give Diamond the phone number of one of her housemaids.

Diamond later called the maid, and she gave him the access code to the apartment complex.

Suddenly, at the birthday party, which was attended by family and Ugandan friends, Diamond walked in.

A video posted by Wasafi Media shows Diamond and Zari seated next to each other, and dancing to his songs.

“Then my husband starts tripping…saying you invited your man to the party. You are still in love with him. I told him I didn’t invite Diamond, I did not know he was coming,” Zari stressed.

She maintains, however, that she has no way of blocking her ex from seeing his children.

She explained that Diamond still provides for all the needs of his kids and that he even sent in money to help with the birthday preparations.

Even at the party, Zari says she could not frown at or ignore Diamond, “because these are his children, and I am their mother.”
