Renowned media personality and events MC Zambaali Bulasio Mukasa has reportedly been suspended from his job as a news anchor at Next Media’s NBS TV for being partisan and actively participating in politics.Zambali recently appeared on the podium during the official campaigns for National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate Counsel Nalukoola who is campaigning for the Kawempe North parliamentary seat.
He openly pledged his support for the party and called upon people to vote for Nalukoola in the by-elections and Bobi Wine in the upcoming general elections.
The news about his suspension was revealed by gossip guru, Kasuku who claimed that a trusted inside source revealed to him that Zambali would be off until the elections were concluded.
This is because the station allegedly introduced a policy where they would be non-partisan following the allegations that they messed with the vote counting in the 2022 elections.
Other close sources, however, revealed that Zambali had earlier put in his resignation letter, making March his last month at the station because he is eyeing the Nansana Municipality chairman and a big position in NUP.
