Ugandan Clinical Officer Arrested In Kamuli With Two Loaded Guns

Kamuli, Uganda – In a major victory against organized crime, authorities have arrested nine suspects – among them a clinical officer – linked to a violent robbery ring terrorizing the Busoga region. The intelligence-driven operation has exposed what appears to be a sophisticated criminal network operating across multiple districts.

Key Arrests Raise Alarms

The detained suspects include:

  • Fred Wambi (Kamuli Municipality)
  • Grace Mugaya (a clinical officer whose involvement has shocked the community)
  • Several residents from Bugweri and Iganga districts

The arrests followed a March 20, 2025 tip-off about Wambi allegedly transporting firearms, triggering a coordinated police response across Busoga North.

✔ Electronics and motor vehicle registration plates
