In a move aimed at enhancing collaboration and operational efficiency, TotalEnergies Uganda has brought together three of its main entities into a state-of-the-art, centralized office space known as “T-Hive,” located within the prestigious RR Pearl One Building on Yusuf Lule Road.
The announcement, made on December 1, confirmed that TotalEnergies Marketing Uganda Limited, TotalEnergies EP Uganda, and the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) operations would now operate under one roof at the 25-story Grade A office tower. The building, developed by prominent businessman Sudhir Ruparelia, is situated directly opposite Kampala’s National Land Information Center in the bustling Pearl Business Park.
The T-Hive reflects TotalEnergies’ “One TotalEnergies, One Country” philosophy, with a focus on fostering innovation, streamlining processes, and promoting employee well-being. The name itself, inspired by staff input, emphasizes a shared sense of ownership and collective identity.
A statement from TotalEnergies Uganda welcomed staff to the new space: “Welcome to T-Hive, our dynamic new home at Pearl Business Park Tower One. This building unites three of our entities under a single roof. The name T-Hive was created by our team, symbolizing that this space belongs to all of us.”
The relocation consolidates previously dispersed offices, aiming to improve decision-making and create a more energetic work environment. T-Hive boasts over 400 parking spaces across multiple basement levels, electric vehicle charging points, and a ground-floor Bonjour convenience store for everyday needs.
Accessibility and sustainability are central to the design, featuring wheelchair-accessible restrooms, waste separation systems, and a mothers’ room for working parents. Security is maintained with smart badges and strategically placed cameras that balance safety and privacy.
Employees also benefit from a shared medical clinic on the ground floor, flexible workstations, private “bubble” rooms for confidential discussions, and coffee lounges that encourage collaboration.
The office layout is carefully organized: TotalEnergies Marketing Uganda occupies the first floor; the second floor hosts TotalEnergies EP Uganda’s reception, HR, contracts, procurement, logistics, and field operations; the third floor contains finance, IT, project management, and a cafeteria with panoramic views. Upper floors are designated for specialized teams including drilling, health, safety and environment, social performance, business development, corporate affairs, legal, geoscience, and EACOP operations. A modern coffee bar and mini lounge in the cafeteria enhance both hospitality and team interactions.
This centralization is a key part of TotalEnergies Uganda’s long-term plan to integrate its marketing, exploration and production, and pipeline development operations. Analysts view it as a strong endorsement of Kampala’s growing commercial real estate sector, with developments like RR Pearl One exemplifying modern corporate infrastructure.
As Uganda continues to advance its energy sector ambitions, including the landmark EACOP project, initiatives like T-Hive underscore TotalEnergies’ commitment to operational excellence and creating a supportive, innovative workplace.
