SOROTI
A fatal road accident has claimed the life of a pupil of St Enock Nursery and Primary School leaving one other in critical condition.
The accident occurred on the evening of Thursday, 12th September, 2024 at Opuyo Ward, Omalera, a 1km from Soroti High School, formerly Rehema S.S.
Edson Obukulem, the East Kyoga Acting Police Spokesperson identified the deceased as a 7 year old Johnathan Eriku while the critically injured is Vivian Akola a 7 year old pupil who was rushed for medical attention.
Obukulem says the two juveniles were knocked and one died on the spot while the other Vivian Akola 7 years was rushed for medical attention.
He further explained that the two juveniles were knocked by a taxi Hiace registration number UBH 305Z white in colour and the driver managed to escape.
