Police in Sironko district are searching for George Nabubolo William, a sub-county chief, who allegedly cut off his 17-year-old son’s legs on Tuesday, 17th September, 2024.
According to Mark Nabubolo who is hospitalized with injuries at Mbale regional referral hospital, the incident occurred after a fight with his sister over a petty issue.Nabubolo had slapped his sister for standing with a man on the way during night hours which prompted their father to stab him and cut off his legs.
Victor Masiga Paul, a doctor at Mbale regional referral hospital who is treating the victim says that he was in critical condition but is now recovering after receiving treatment. Further tests are being conducted to determine the best course of treatment.Elgon Police Spokesperson, SP Rogers Taitika condemned the father’s actions, emphasizing that leaders should uphold the law, not break it.
Taitika added that the police had received reports of an ongoing dispute between the father and son.
