Negotiations are underway outside court between singer Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, and Nsambya Hospital to resolve the matter, according to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango.
Onyango said the outcome of the negotiation will determine whether the police drop the ongoing investigations or continue with them.
He further advised musicians to avoid moving with gangs, as whenever they misbehave, the crimes are attributed to the musicians.
Alien Skin, together with his bodyguard, Julius Mugabi, who are currently on remand at Luzira Prison, is facing charges related to causing grievous harm at St. Francis Hospital in Nsambya.
According to court records, Alien Skin, Mugabi, and others who remain at large allegedly assaulted Zaidi Matovu, Alex Odongo, and Anthony Munyanda at Nsambya Hospital on 19 November. The incident reportedly occurred following the death of their colleague, Joram Tumwesigye, at the hospital after a car accident.
The duo denied the charges and was subsequently remanded. They are expected to appear before court today for their bail hearing.
