A student from Uganda Technical College Bushenyi, located in the Western Ugandan district of Bushenyi, went out to enjoy himself but never returned home. His lifeless body was later discovered by the roadside. The incident has left many wondering about the circumstances of his death.
Police in Bushenyi District are investigating the killing of Vincent Kaweesi, a 25-year-old student at the college, commonly known to locals as Kahaya. The death occurred sometime between the night of March 18 and the morning of March 19, 2025. Preliminary findings suggest Kaweesi left the college on March 18 to have fun.
His body was found the next morning in Kahaya Village, Rwentuha Town Council, along the Bushenyi-Mbarara Highway. Local residents discovered the young man’s lifeless form and promptly notified the authorities. Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson Marcial Tumusiime reported that the body was spotted around 7:30 AM on March 19, 2025. Kaweesi was lying chest-down, with blood having flowed from his mouth and nose.
The police moved the body to Kampala International Teaching Hospital in Ishaka Town for a postmortem examination. Observations at the scene indicated possible strangulation, as his neck showed signs of trauma, though Tumusiime emphasized that a conclusive cause of death would be determined through ongoing investigations.
