The Ruparelia Foundation will host a three-day Free Eye Health Camp at Bukedea Teaching Hospital from March 27 to 29, 2026. The initiative is being organized in collaboration with Mulago National Referral Hospital and C-Care as a tribute to the late Rajiv Ruparelia and his lasting commitment to serving the community.

This outreach aims to make quality eye care more accessible to people living in Eastern and Northern Uganda. Experienced medical professionals will provide free eye examinations, cataract assessments, reading glasses, and spectacles for children. Patients diagnosed with cataracts may also receive surgery where necessary.

The camp is open to both adults and children. People from Bukedea and surrounding areas such as Soroti, Mbale, Gulu, Lira, Tororo, and Kapchorwa are especially encouraged to attend and benefit from the services offered.

Preventable vision loss continues to affect many communities in Uganda, and initiatives like this help address the problem by delivering practical medical support directly to those in need. Through its collaboration with reputable healthcare institutions and private partners, the Ruparelia Foundation is helping bring essential treatment closer to underserved populations.

Community members and local leaders are urged to share information about the program and encourage anyone facing vision challenges to take advantage of the services during the three-day event.
