The Ruparelia Foundation recently provided gifts and essential supplies to children at Moksha Preaching and Training Centre in Nansana, reinforcing its long-term dedication to supporting vulnerable communities and promoting education. The initiative, led by Jyotsna Ruparelia, wife of prominent businessman Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, focused on providing items that ease daily challenges while enhancing learning opportunities.

The donation, valued at millions of shillings, included mattresses, bed covers, rice, sugar, salt, and educational materials. Each item was carefully chosen to improve the children’s living conditions and support their schooling.

“These items are meant to assist your daily lives and education. Please use them responsibly and take care of them,” Jyotsna Ruparelia advised the children, emphasizing discipline, responsibility, and the importance of sustaining the benefits beyond the festive season.

The foundation has maintained an ongoing partnership with Moksha Preaching and Training Centre, covering school fees for more than forty children in addition to providing necessary supplies and learning resources. Caretakers described the foundation’s support as transformative, allowing children to concentrate on their education without the stress of daily survival.

“The Ruparelia Foundation has not only met material needs but also reminded these children that their welfare matters to the broader community,” noted one caretaker, highlighting the lasting impact of the foundation’s involvement.

This year’s donation was made in memory of the late Rajiv Ruparelia, whose vision focused on social responsibility and uplifting disadvantaged communities. Jyotsna Ruparelia explained that the Nansana activities form part of a larger initiative to honor his legacy.

“Rajiv believed that helping the less fortunate is a shared duty. We will continue this work in his memory,” she said, reaffirming the foundation’s commitment to child welfare and education across Uganda.

For the children at Moksha Preaching and Training Centre, the initiative was a rare moment of joy and recognition. Beyond the tangible gifts, it showed them that individuals are actively invested in their growth and well-being.

In Nansana and other communities supported by the Ruparelia Foundation, the festive season highlighted how sustained, targeted interventions can create real opportunities for vulnerable children. Through consistent engagement, the foundation continues to combine practical support with long-term commitment, ensuring that the benefits extend well beyond the holiday season.
