Police have launched a manhunt for suspects who attempted to burn a woman alive in Campswahili Cell, Nabilatuk District.
Agnes Korobe, a 38-year-old mother of three, recounted the horrifying experience, stating that she was deep asleep when her grass-thatched house was set ablaze.
“I woke up to find my house in flames and screamed for help. Thankfully, several neighbors came to my rescue, but all my household items were destroyed in the fire,” Korobe said.
Mike Longole, Karamoja Police Spokesperson, confirmed that investigations are ongoing and efforts are being made to apprehend the suspects.
“We are committed to bringing those responsible to justice. We urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation,” Longole stated.
The case has been officially recorded under file number NBK CRB 12/2025 as police continue their inquiries
