Police has discovered an expanse of ten acres of flourishing marijuana gardens in Alekilek village, Iriiri Sub County in Napaka District.

The operation was conducted by the Napaka Police on Monday, 11th November, 2024 at about 10:00AM and were later joined by the Mt. Moroto regional team.

According to a Policer Statement, the discovery led to the destruction of the ten acres after the cultivators took off upon seeing the police.

“Growers abandoned the area upon the police’s arrival, indicating their illegal cultivation and distribution of the plant to surrounding communities,” says the police statement.
