Paulyne Asiimwe, the eldest of two sisters, attended Gateway Nursery and Primary School before moving on to Gayaza High School and Immaculate Heart Girls School in Rukungiri.

A bright student, she achieved 18 points in her A-Levels and went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Film at Makerere University. Her academic background has evidently shaped her passion for the arts, particularly in acting and modeling. Currently, she models for Mora Collections, a fashion brand owned by a friend, but she remains open to other related gigs.

Describing her experience at the concert, Paulyne shared how much she enjoyed being on stage with Ya Levis. “I enjoyed myself very much,” she said, admitting that she relives the moment daily.

Despite her enthusiasm, she noted that it wasn’t her intention to go viral. It was her first concert, and although she put on a confident act, she confessed to feeling nervous. She firmly denied rumors that she met up with Ya Levis afterward or that she got his contact information, clarifying that she did not go to his hotel.

Paulyne Asiimwe openly admitted to having a crush on the “Nakati” hitmaker. “He is okay. He is handsome. He is fine,” she said, smiling.

She wouldn’t mind dating him, although she acknowledged that the language barrier might be an issue since Ya Levis speaks French.

Paulyne finds the French language very romantic, a sentiment that adds to her admiration of the singer. However, she made it clear that some things in life are reserved for that “one specific person,” implying that she has high standards and values exclusivity in relationships.

Currently single, Paulyne Asiimwe Thickiana is focused on her career in modeling and acting. She lives with her parents but spent the night at a friend’s place after the concert. Her parents, she says, have not made any fuss about the incident, demonstrating their support for her choices.

Paulynne draws inspiration from international superstar Rihanna, admiring how the singer has built a successful career and life for herself. Paulyne Asiimwe aspires to achieve similar heights in her career, stating, “I think she’s done well for herself.”

Paulyne’s favourite social media platform is TikTok, where she enjoys sharing her experiences and connecting with fans. As for her ideal partner, she described a tall, gym-going, dark-skinned man with tattoos and dreadlocks. A Christian man who knows the Lord is important to her.

When asked about Ugandan celebrities, she expressed her past admiration for DJ Slick Stuart’s 2018 persona but rejected the idea of dating other stars like Toniks, Fik Fameica, Bebe Cool, Jose Chameleone, and John Blaq.

Despite the sudden spotlight, Paulyne Asiimwe remains grounded. She doesn’t drink, and she has clear boundaries when it comes to relationships and her public image. Responding to online criticism, she addressed a comment from social media personality Chicken Chicken, stating, “Yeah, that girl would never look twice in your friend’s direction… I would never look twice in your friend’s direction.”

Confident in her choices, Paulynne Asiimwe is poised to continue her rise in the entertainment world, with many fans eager to see where her journey will lead next.
