“Upon being discharged from hospital, I have instructed my lawyers to take swift legal action against Mr. Akol Anthony (MP Kilak North) for physically assaulting me like a wild animal on the floor of Parliament as we debated the coffee Bill,” Zaake posted on his X-Handle on Friday 8th November.

In a Social Media rebuttal, MP Akol says Zaake will lose the legal battle as well.

“You started it before and lost. You have started it again, I can assure you that you will still lose. Lukwago is going to eat your money for nothing,” Akol says.

Zaake through his lawyers of M/S Lukwago has given Akol 7 days to issue an unequivocal apology on the Floor of Parliament, make a monetary atonement equivalent to the injuries and damage occasioned on him and pay 10% of the monetary atonement to the Law Firm.

Zaake warns that should MP Akol fail to comply with the above, his legal team will commence with immediate Court proceedings without reference to Akol at, ‘but at your own cost and assured embarrassment.”

On the 6th November, 2024, during the third and final reading of the National Coffee Amendment Bill, matters went physical when Zaake pulled out MP Akol on a chair he claimed was his prompting Akol to rain blows on Zaake until other MPs intervened.
