Museveni’s former press secretary Tamale Mirundi dead at 60

Kampala, (UG):- President Museveni’s former presidential press secretary and advisor on media, Joseph Tamale Mirundi is dead. He was 60.

Mirundi, who became popular for his controversial political debates breathed his last on Tuesday evening according to reports from close friends and relatives.

The outspoken political analyst and NRM strong had recently paid allegiance to the Patriotic League of Uganda civic group led by First Son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba where he was the Deputy Spokesperson for Buganda Region.

Mirundi was early this year diagnosed with illnesses rotating around low blood pressure and kidney-related diseases and has been in and out of the hospital until his untimely passing.

The motormouthed Mirundi had recently revealed that he has survived death several times in his life after being poisoned five times.

“Doctors had predicted that I would die in three years but because of treatment and my cultural ancestors, recently I got checked by medical personnel from America and I was told that my organs are intact and very okay,” Tamale Mirundi revealed in a recent interview before he was hospitalized early this year.
