A rifle carefully wrapped in a red jumper has been found hidden in an eucalyptus forest.

The Rifle discovered by casual workers who had been hired to cut eucalyptus trees was found about 10:00AM today,   Wednesday, 13th November, 20214.

 

According to Police Spokesperson ACP Kituuma Rusoke, the rifle was found at Kibutamo LC in Kibutamu parish, Lwankoni Sub-county, Kyotera District.

 

The Casual workers promptly notified the area chairperson, who contacted the police.

 

“We arrived and retrieved the rifle, which is now in police custody. Investigations are ongoing,” says Kituuma in a brief statement indicating that no arrests have yet been made.
