“We are honoured to be part of this landmark concert,” said Annette Nakiyaga, I&M Bank’s Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs. “This follows our golden jubilee celebrations held here a few weeks ago. By supporting influential figures like Jose Chameleone, we contribute to enriching Uganda’s cultural identity and heritage.”

Nakiyaga also hinted at more exciting events in the pipeline as part of the ongoing I&M @50 celebrations.

Initially, tickets for the ‘Legend in Gold’ concert were priced at $100 (around Shs370,000) for a bronze ticket. However, after discussions with I&M Bank and other partners, the price has been reduced to Shs200,000. An eight-seater table is available for UGX 5 million.

This concert comes a year and a half after Chameleone’s successful ‘Gwanga Mujje’ show in Kampala. The artist has described the upcoming event as more than just a concert, emphasizing it as a celebration of his musical legacy. “Last year was a concert, but this year is about celebrating my journey,” Chameleone shared, promising fans an unforgettable experience.

To commemorate his 25-year career, Chameleone will perform a mix of his greatest hits, including classics like “Bageya,” “Jamila,” “Mama Rhoda,” and “Wale Wale,” along with newer popular tracks such as “Kigwa Lero” and “Forever.

Jose Chameleone, born on April 30, 1979, is a celebrated AfroBeat artist who performs in Luganda, English, and Swahili. He launched his music career in 1998 with the Kenyan label Ogopa Deejays, releasing his debut single “Bageya” featuring Redsan.
