A grieving father is demanding answers following the tragic death of his daughter at Mezo Noir Bar in Kampala.
The deceased, identified as 24-year-old Annette Nambi, was reportedly found unconscious at the popular entertainment spot before being pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Her father, John Nambi, has raised concerns about the circumstances surrounding her death, insisting that authorities conduct a thorough investigation.
According to him, his daughter had no known health issues, and he suspects foul play. “I need to know what happened to my child. She left home healthy and never returned,” he lamented.
Preliminary police reports indicate that Nambi had been out with friends at the bar before she collapsed under unclear circumstances.
Eyewitnesses claim she showed signs of distress before losing consciousness. However, the exact cause of death remains unknown pending a postmortem report.
Authorities have since summoned the bar’s management for questioning and are reviewing CCTV footage to establish the events leading to her death. Meanwhile, her family is calling for transparency in the investigations.
Human rights activists have also weighed in, urging law enforcement to ensure justice is served. They emphasize the need for nightlife establishments to prioritize customer safety and be held accountable for incidents on their premises.
As investigations continue, Nambi’s family remains hopeful that the truth will emerge, providing them with much-needed closure in their time of grief.
