The Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, has conceded defeat to his opponent in the November 5 presidential election, Donald Trump, calling to congratulate the Republican candidate for his victory.
One of Harris’ senior aides confirmed that she spoke with the former President on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, discussing the importance of a peaceful transfer of power and being the president for all Americans.
The aide, who spoke on background, also confirmed that Harris will make a speech in Washington later Wednesday, the first since the result was announced.
