Amolatar, Uganda – Accident has claimed the life of a girl believe to be between 17- 20 years old as she rode to pick children from school.The incident happened on Wednesday 5th March 2025 at around 1530 hours along Corner Aputi Amai road between Amolatar primary school and Amolatar secondary school.
According to an eye witness who preferred anonymity, the vehicle water buzzer Reg No UG 211W believed to be fetching water for the ongoing construction at Amolatar secondary school drove over the victim who slid off from road side falling Infront of the truck at very short range.
She has been identified as Akello Brenda a cousin sister to the chairperson LCV for Amolatar Geoffrey Ocen Kiring and was baby sitting in her sister’s home in town.It is reported that the decease had just left the health center to check on a patient who has been admitted at the time that she met her death.
The rider and the driver were all heading to the same direction when the rider tried to pave way for the vehicle but eventually slid to the vehicle killing her instantly.By press time, police had not yet given official comment on the fatal accident.
The body has been taken to Amolatar health center four mortuary pending postmortem.The case has been registered at Amolatar central police station SD REF 41/05/03/25 and the truck parked at the same station pending IOV.
