EXCLUSIVE! Why Murdered Entebbe Couple’s Children Skip Parents’ Burial

The couple that was murdered on July 6, 2025, will be laid to rest today, 12th July, 2025 at Nagalabi/Budo village in Wakiso district albeit without attendance of their two children who are abroad.

Speaking to this reporter, a close family relative confirmed that Isabel Najitta Mutaaga and Mark Ernest Kabenge Mutaaga have skipped the burial citing security concerns.

The source intimated to this reporter that the two children strongly suspect a very close relative as being behind the double heinous murder and believe that if they came back to the country, the same person will have them killed.The source revealed the identity of the suspected murderer, but for obvious reasons, this can’t be disclosed.

The couple that had just returned from Zurich after 30years on Kyeyo stint were killed in cold blood at their residence in Lugonjo/ Nakiwogo zone in Entebbe Municipality.

About the deceased couple

David Baagala Mutaaga, son of Ernest Kabenge (Nvuma Clan) and Christine (Nsenene Clan).

Mutaaga was born on May 1, 1956. He attended Budo Junior school and Kings College Budo where he majored in physics and double maths. He went on to complete a Bachelor of Science degree with a concurrent Diploma in Education from Makerere University. Finally, he completed his post graduate degree at the University of Zurich

It was during this time where he met his lover, Deborah Naizuwa Kisadha, born on 4 December 1962 to Rehoboam Lume Kisadha (Mwise Munha clan) and Maama Freda.Departed Deborah grew up in Jinja and attended Wanyange Girls’ Secondary School. She is described as a lovely mother with good spirit. She genuinely loved and made everyone feel special, a close relative revealed.

The beautiful couple got married in 1988 and were blessed with two children; Isabel Najitta Mutaaga and Mark Ernest Kabenge Mutaaga.

The couple went on to have impressive and extensive careers in top Swiss communications and banking firms for over 30 years.In 2021, they retired and returned home to Uganda.

They will always be remembered for their caring and loving nature towards their families and their intentionality towards building and keeping community wherever they went.
