A dramatic scene was witnessed after the Residents of Bunusya Ward in Mbarara City North Division on Saturday afternoon rejected hand hoes distributed by their area MP, Robert Mwesigwa Rukaari.
The residents accused him of failing to fulfill his 2021 campaign promise to bring electricity to the area. Rukaari, in his first term, is known for supporting agriculture by distributing hand hoes, sugarcane cuttings, and cassava tubers.
However, the residents said they now want electricity, not farming tools, an incident that caught the attention of several Ugandans who took to their different social media platforms to speak on this.
According to the reports given by section of Ugandans, the residents should take their revenge by voting him out in the oncoming General elections.
Nagaba…In the city, I don’t think that’s something he should be giving back to his electorates. For a country to realize the NDP IV , agro-industrialization hand hoe is not the way, we should think of Agric mechanization.
Rembo…They deserve that, thats the best person they elected a low quality candidate so they definitely deserve low quality service who do they have to blame? They can all go to hell temutukooya.
Moses…Wow, this is a nice start. A wake up call to those politicians who think the electorates are to always be fooled in time for elections. Mujakiwulira.
