The renowned politician was speaking after a supermarket went up in flames in an incident that left several people counting losses.
According to the reports given by Erias Lukwago, something needs to be done in order to avoid these fires.
The Mayor has also called for the release of his client, Veteran Ugandan Opposition leader Dr Kizza Besigye who is currently being held at Luzira Maximum Prison.
Dr Kizza Besigye and Haji Obeid Lutale were charged with Treason for allegedly plotting to overthrow the government of President Kaguta Museveni.
