Centenary Bank appoints Ivan Nzokire General Manager Business Technology – The Kampala Report

Centenary Bank has appointed Nzokire Ivan Bushaija as its new General Manager in charge of Business Technology.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Centenary Bank said with a career spanning 19 years in ICT, Nzokire brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the bank, driving its mission to become a smart bank dedicated to social and economic transformation.

“Ivan’s impressive background encompasses Digital Transformation, ICT infrastructure management, ICT security management, and the design of core banking systems, including Core Banking Systems (CBS) and omnichannel payment platforms. His appointment marks a significant milestone for Centenary Bank, as we continue to innovate and enhance our digital capabilities to better serve our customers and communities,” they said.

Nzokire holds a Post Graduate Diploma in IT, an MBA, and a BSc in Computer Science. He is a highly certified professional with credentials including MCSE, MCSE-Security, MCLC, MCITP, MCTS, MCDBA, MCSA, Linux+, CCNA, ITIL, TOGAF 9.0 Enterprise Architecture, and CCSC. Additionally, he is trained in ICT governance standards Cobit and ISO 38500, showcasing his comprehensive understanding of industry best practices.

“Throughout his career, Ivan has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in implementing and managing advanced technologies such as Virtualization, Hyper and Converged server infrastructure, core network infrastructure, databases, ICT security, digital payments, personalization, cloud computing, Process Automation, AI, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and Data Analytics platforms,” Centenary Bank added.

His expertise spans numerous vendor technologies, including EDR, IAM, firewalling, core switching, PAM, SOC, SIEM, Oracle and Dell converged infrastructure, Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, Juniper, F5, ESBs, and Linux.
