At least two people were confirmed dead in a road accident that occurred on Sunday 25-08- 2024 in Kitubulu zone along Entebbe Highway. The nasty accident claimed lives of Mberobata (boda rider) and Vianney Mugaga, who were traveling on a bajaj boxer registration number UFB 988K.
It’s reported that the unidentified driver of Toyota Wish registration number UBK 114U and currently on run knocked a bajaj boxer registration number UFB 988K, which was making a U- turn on the same road causing the vehicle to overturn several times.
According to eye witnesses at the scene of accident, the driver of the wish car was over speeding heading towards Kampala city and attempted to save the lives of the deceased persons but unfortunately it was too late and ended up knocking them to death.
Later, traffic police arrived at the scene of accident and towed the wreckages of both the wish car and the bajaja motorcycle. While the deceased persons were taken to the city mortuary for post mortem as the bereaved families await their dear ones for burial at their respective ancestral homes.
The Entebbe traffic police revealed that it has launched investigations into the cause of the accident and strongly warned motorists to avoid over speeding especially in areas that have been labeled as black spots.
Meanwhile, workers at Entebbe capital pub are still in somber mood following the death of their celebrated DJ Vianney Mugaga who perished in a road accident while being ridden on a bajaj boxer that was knocked by a Toyota wish car.
