Bukedea district has got a new district police Officer after the transfer of Richard Asiimwe who served nearly one year as district police commander for Bukedea.

Asiimwe has been transferred to Lwengo in the same position and now replaced by Emmy Lorika.

This development has today Monday, 11th November, 2024 been confirmed by William Wilberforce Tukei, the Resident District Commissioner of Bukedea, who’s also the district security head.

According to Tukei, Lorika assumed office immediately after receiving a transfer letter.

“Transfers are normal and I want to urge the public to cooperate with him as he takes on his new office”, said Mr. Tukei.

Lorika previously served as Bukedea’s DPC from 2016 to 2018 and made a name for himself by going after thieves and cracking high-profile investigative cases.

RDC Tukei has described Lorika’s current deployment as a routine transfer, urging the community to work with him.
