Bugisu Cooperative Union (BCU) has dedicated a new double-cabin vehicle to God in a prayer ceremony led by retired Bishop Gidudu Patrick at the union’s factory on Monday, 26th August, 2024.

Bishop Gidudu encouraged the workers to commit themselves fully to their work to achieve greater success.

BCU treasurer, Nathan Mabonga listed some of the Union’s achievements this year. He stated that they planned to market coffee both locally and internationally, with 30% of the current stock already sold. He also mentioned that they have completed 80% of the land surveys for BCU properties and societies.

Mabonga explained that the renovation of Musundi House into a hotel is 80% complete. He further shared that BCU aimed to purchase four vehicles, with one already acquired, and that more will be purchased as coffee sales continue.

Rtd Bishop Samuel Wabulakha noted that the Union had planned to provide scholarships and has already sponsored close to 200 students. He also confirmed that BCU is preparing to launch the coffee season and, this time, will be conducting cash purchases at the factory.
