A woman whose both arms were allegedly cut off by his husband in a brutal case of domestic violence been rushed to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital in a critical condition.
The incident happened last evening at around 9pm in Nyakasojo Lower Cell, Nyakabingo III Ward in Bulembia Division of Kasese Municipality.
The victim has been identified as Esther Mbambu, a vendor at Shauliyako Market, was found bleeding profusely near her home before being rushed to Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital.
SP Luke Mbusa, the Rwenzori East Community Liaisons Officer has confirmed the incident and identified the suspect as Hassan Ngobi Kadogo who has since been apprehended and detained at Kasese Central Police Station.

SP Luka Mbusa condemned the attack and urged the public to seek help in resolving domestic disputes.
Yonah Syahungene, the Chairperson Local Council I for Nyakasojo Lower Cell told Messiah Radio that he came to learn about the incident through the passers-by who called that they had come across a woman lying in a pool of blood along the roadside.
According to him, other leaders and a section of residents in the area thronged the scene of crime and immediately alerted police that swung into action, picked the victim and rushed her to the hospital.
Hon. Salveri Sunday, the Municipal Councilor representing Nyakabingo III Ward and Mr. Nelson Masereka, the Lay reader at Nyakasojo Lower Church of Uganda who regretted the incident advised the couples not to take the law into their hands.
At Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital, Dr. Richard Mubangiizi confirmed to Messiah Radio that they had referred the victim to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for further management of the injuries that she sustained during the incident.
