Bobi Wine discharged from Hospital

Posted on

Bobi Wine was wheeled into his car and driven to his Magere Home.

NUP leaders led by LoP Joel Ssenyonyi were there to receive him.

Speaking to reporters earlier, Ssenyonyi provided an update on why Bobi Wine was compelled to leave the hospital.

He said security operatives had started “putting pressure on hospital staff to provide them with Bobi Wine’s medical details.”

Medical records are private. They are only supposed to be accessed by his family and close relatives. Why does the state keep trying to access them?” he said.

That is why we decided that now that the minor surgery has been done and the fragments removed, he could go back home….and the hospital assured us that everything else can be managed from home.”

Ssenyonyi also slammed the police for “misleading the public” about what transpired in the scuffle in Bulindo.

Ssenyonyi described this statement as “amateurish and shameful.

He also noted that the incident was “not an accident” and that it “looked deliberate” given how the police officers aimed a teargas canister at Bobi Wine.

We need the government to tell us why they want to eliminate our leader because he has been involved in too many near-miss incidents like this,” he said.

Ssenyonyi also questioned why Police keep deploying dangerous tools such as teargas canisters to disperse people.

“Teargas canisters are like grenades; many people have lost their limbs by these canisters,” he said.
