Events promoters are significantly impacted when events flop, but they also earn handsomely when events are successful.
Speaking about how much a promoter invests in organizing a single concert, promoter Balunywa revealed that he personally injected over 189 million Ugandan shillings into staging B2C’s concert and 179 million into organizing Geosteady’s show.
He stated that this money goes towards venue hire, promotions, advertisements, security, and many other aspects of event organization.
“I spent UGX 189M on B2C’s show and UGX 179M on Geosteady’s. That’s how much a single concert costs to organize in Kampala,” he partly said.
Promoter Balunywa also mentioned that older-generation artists bring in more money compared to newer-generation artists, who are not as marketable to the public.
