The incident occurred of burning the house, located in Kanyara village, Kikondo Ward, Kabujogera Town Council, was discovered ablaze by local leaders and passersby on 27 March.
The house of Ugandan gospel singer and local politician Levi Amarakutunga aka DJ Levi Nyamagoya, has been set ablaze by an angry mob in Kitagwenda District, forcing the police to launch an investigation.
Amarakutunga is the district councilor representing persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Amarakutunga and three others were remanded by the Kamwenge Grade One Magistrate on March 26 over allegations of kidnapping, murdering, and sacrificing a four-year-old girl named Trinah Ainomugisha.
The other suspects are Radius Tumusiime, 30; Deus Kakuru, 28, and Nicholus Asingura, 18.They were charged with kidnap, murder, and human sacrifice and remanded to Katojo Government Prison in Kabarole District.
Police had initially deployed officers to guard the Amarakutunga’s property but they were withdrawn after the situation appeared to have calmed down.
Eyewitnesses, who preferred anonymity, narrated that they saw the house burning but could not identify the culprits.
Bashir Bakulumpagi, the Kitagwenda District Police Commander, condemned the act of mob justice and assured the public that investigations were ongoing.
“We urge residents to remain calm and avoid taking the law into their own hands. We have intensified investigations to identify those responsible for the fire,” Bakulumpagi said.
It should be remembered that some men have reportedly accused Levi Amarakutunga aka DJ Levi Nyamagoya of attempting to or forcing himself on in adult unnatural acts. (See Details Here)
