While some of Gravity’s fans claimed Vokoz had “brought bad luck to Lugogo Cricket Oval,” the latter dismissed these claims as false.
“I did nothing wrong there. I just had my concert at the venue, which was a full house and I left,” he said.
“If Gravity came after and failed to get people, that is on him. It is all about the artist and how he communicates to the people. Everyone communicates differently to their fans.”
Vokoz had his “Ndi Musoga” concert at the Cricket Oval on August 30 and it had a healthy attendance.
A week later, Gravity’s “Embaga ya Isma n’amina” show was the polar opposite, with only a few hundred estimated to have attended.
Bad luck
Gravity later at a press conference blamed this on sheer bad luck stating, “This was just a bad day.”
“You can have a good business and one day things don’t go well… a big football team can also lose a match. I got a few people compared to my other concerts, but that happens to all people. Anyone can make a loss,” he added, promising to try again next time.
The bad luck however, appeared to have followed him to his extra concerts around the country, with the most recent one in Masaka estimated to have been graced by a few dozen people.
