Earlier this month, comedian Amooti Omubalaguzi announced that he would be celebrating his twenty-five years of nonstop comedy on the 13th of December at UMA Show Grounds, Lugogo.
Different people, including social media users, artists, and other entertainers, asked him to go for a bigger venue, claiming he has lots of fans who would want to attend such a celebration.
However, Amooti hasn’t changed the venue and explained that the promoter of the show chose UMA grounds because it’s the place he can afford at this time.
“That’s the venue the promoter of the show can afford. Other promoters wanted bigger venues, but they were not clear with me; they were playing hide and seek. So when this one came with a clear plan, I accepted,” he said in part in a video making rounds on social media.
Comedian Amooti maintained that in the future, he will stage a show at Namboole Stadium.
“Everyone knows the program was to stage it at Namboole, but it will still happen there one day,” he maintained.
