Being broke made me join President Museveni’s team – Buchaman

Buchaman is one of the NRM promoters in Kampala and was appointed a presidential advisor by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

The former Firebase Vice President explained that financial hardship forced him to work with President Museveni, who offered him an olive branch during a time of severe poverty.

Despite his long history with Bobi Wine, Buchaman couldn’t turn down the President’s offer as it came with numerous benefits.

“I wouldn’t turn down the offer to work with the President. I had nothing and was broke when I was asked to start working with him, and I couldn’t refuse. In all this, I work for the good of society and not to fight Bobi Wine,” he said in part during an interview with local television.

It should be noted that Bobi Wine and Buchaman were good friends until the early 2010s, when they separated due to money-related issues.
