Police In Uganda are investigating an incident where 9 people died & 3 injured in a single fatal crash today at 12:40 pm on the Kapchorwa-Mbale highway in Kapchorwa District.
According to the reports given by the police, Preliminary reports indicate that the driver, who was transporting cows & people on top, lost control on a slope due to brake failure.
The vehicle overturned, crashing 9 people to death & injuring 03 all on the said vehicle.The bodies of the deceased were taken to the mortuary by Police officers who visited the scene of the accident, the victims who were injured were rushed to the Hospital where they were admitted.
Taking to his X formerly Twitter to confirm this news, SP Kananura Michael has called upon track drivers to avoid transporting passengers on top of their vehicles.
SP Kananura Michael :All truck drivers are urged to adhere to safety regulations and refrain from transporting passengers on top of cargo.
This is happening at the same time when the Uganda Police Force has called upon Ugandans to work with the police by reporting rogue motorists to the police.
