A 53-year-old man, Moses John Odongo, was found dead in police custody after being arrested for allegedly assaulting his mother-in-law. The incident occurred while Odongo was living at his wife’s parents’ home, a situation that reportedly led to tensions within the household.

Witnesses said Odongo had been staying at his in-laws’ home for some time, but frequent disagreements and arguments allegedly strained relationships. On the day of his arrest, neighbors reported hearing loud disputes before the police were called to intervene.

After being taken into custody, Odongo was placed in a holding cell, where he was later found dead. Preliminary investigations suggest suicide, though family members have called for an independent probe to ascertain the truth.
