BUKEDEA: Witchdoctor Arrests S.4 Vacist over Cattle Theft

A witchdoctor in Kamago village, Komonyono parish in Kocheka Sub County in Bukedea District has netted a senior four holiday maker for allegedly stealing two cows belonging to a one Dan Orungo.

 

The suspect identified as Denis Omadi, a former student of Kongunga high school was nabbed on the afternoon of Tuesday, 26th, Nov 2024.

 

Richard Okwi, the Kamago local council one chairperson confirmed this development saying the victim ran mad after the witchdoctor performed his rituals at the scene of crime.

 

He said the matter was reported to his office.

 

“I received this matter about the disappearance of two cows from Mr. Orungo but how he picked interest to bring a witchdoctor I can’t tell”, said Okwi.

 

Okwi also added that the arrested student had no criminal record.

 

“We are surprised to see that the witchdoctor’s charm has caught this boy but he doesn’t have any criminal record”, he said.

 

Dan Orungo, the cattle owner says the stolen two cows disappeared from the Kraal where they were tied.

 

He explained that after discovering two cows were missing, he engaged community members of which none responded to his cry.

 

“It’s not the first time for people to steal from me and this time around I wanted to discover a real person stealing my home”, said Mr. Orungo.

 

Rose Alupo, the eye witness, told this publication that the accused person testified that unknown gunmen lured him to untie the cows from the kraal.

“This boy was found lying behind his house and was talking that he was the one who picked the two cows from the kraal, he further said two unknown gunmen forced him to untie the cattle of which he did”, said Ms. Alupo.

 

By the time of filing this story, the suspect was still unconscious.
