Kampala, Uganda – Controversial musician Patrick Mulwana, better known by his stage name Alien Skin, has once again found himself entangled in scandal—this time over allegations of murder following the death of his crew member, Wilfred Namuwaya.
According to police, the 27-year-old was attacked on September 20, 2025, in Ndeeba, allegedly on the singer’s orders after he decided to quit the Fangone Forest music crew. Authorities claim a close associate, identified as Musomali, abducted Namuwaya from his residence to “discipline” him for leaving without permission.
Namuwaya was later abandoned in Mpomba Zone, where a good Samaritan rushed him to Mulago National Referral Hospital. Despite receiving treatment, he succumbed to his injuries on September 22, turning what insiders describe as a “gang punishment” into a full-blown homicide case.
Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango said the incident was not a random act of violence but a coordinated attack:
“The suspects, including Alien Skin, planned and executed this assault. It is a grave crime, and we are committed to ensuring justice for the victim.”
Alien Skin is currently on the run, with police confirming a manhunt for him and three of his known associates: Commander Mdogo, Ibra Kabadiya, and Mijagulo.
Troubled Past of Violence and Controversy
This is not the first time the self-proclaimed “ghetto president” has clashed with the law. His career has been marked by a trail of scandals, from violent altercations to political entanglements:

December 2024 – Alien Skin was remanded to Luzira Prison after his crew was caught on video attacking medical staff and security guards at Nsambya Hospital. Initially charged with assault, he later faced robbery charges for allegedly taking a national ID, Shs480,000, and an iPhone 15 Pro.

January 2025 – A heated dispute with fellow singer Pallaso escalated into violence. Pallaso allegedly stormed Alien Skin’s Makindye residence with a mob, destroying property and injuring members of his team. Alien Skin reportedly escaped by hiding in a ceiling.

Political incidents – The artist has also been accused of mobilising gangs against National Unity Platform (NUP) supporters at their Makerere Kavule offices, raising concerns about his influence beyond music circles.
Mounting Pressure
Once admired as a voice for Kampala’s ghettos, Alien Skin’s reputation has shifted from celebrated entertainer to a figure synonymous with fear and lawlessness. Human rights groups and music industry leaders are urging authorities to clamp down on celebrity-led gangs that continue to endanger communities.
Police have appealed to the public for assistance in locating the fugitive singer and his accomplices.
“If anyone has information on their whereabouts, please come forward. This investigation is active, and we intend to see it through,” SSP Onyango emphasized.
If convicted of murder, Alien Skin faces a possible life sentence or even the death penalty—a dramatic downfall for a performer whose fame once symbolized hope for the urban poor, now overshadowed by a reputation for violence and chaos.
