Three suspected serial petty robbers have been arrested at the Central Business District of Mbale City.
The trio identified as Denis Gizaza Swahaba, George Omolo and Meddy Ssentongo, all residents of Mbale City were arrested on Friday, 21st February, 2025 behind Casablanca Bar on Republic Street.
Speaking to our reporter today, Saturday, 22nd February, 2025 Mbale City DPC, SP Blacks Bakashaba Kenneth confirmed the arrest saying the suspects were found in possession of 60 national IDs, a passport in the name of Agnes Kadodi, two Samsung phones, four laptop chargers, three hammers, three school bags, torches, visas, two Absa bank ATM cards, radio, wave cards, and other items.
“These are the serial thugs who terrorize people at night, snatching phones and women’s handbags,” Bakashaba stated.
The suspects are currently being held at Mbale CPS and will be charged in court soon.
