Uganda football fans were totally left frustrated after the Uganda Cranes lost their CHAN opener to Algeria, a 3-0 loss.The result tagged Uganda as the first tournament host this year to lose a game, as Kenya and Tanzania all won theirs.
Another controversy surrounding the game was the fact that famous Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo was also in attendance at Namboole Stadium.
Before the game started, Bujjingo was heard saying that the Uganda Cranes will win the game and even went to confirm that the tournament trophy is Uganda’s.
However, despite all he said, the results turned south, and it was nowhere near his predictions.After the game, the comments sections went furious on Bujjingo, and some questioned where he left his blessings ahead of the game.
One X (formerly Twitter) user commented, “Why didn’t he pray for cranes to win? Or is it beyond supernatural powers?”Another stated, “He could be the reason we even lost in the first place. It is no surprise and not a coincidence.”
Despite the loss, conclusions cannot be drawn to pin Pastor Bujjingo as the reason behind it.
