Chilling details have emerged in the investigation of the gruesome murder of an Entebbe couple, with security officials now revealing that the suspect is believed to be a trained assassin. The revelation follows the circulation of a harrowing audio recording, in which a weak voice believed to be that of the male victim, Mutaaga is heard pleading for medical help.
“Can we go to hospital?” Mutaaga asks, clearly in distress. The killer coldly replies, “No. You suffer! Your children have studied. Me, I have not studied and I am suffering.”
The calculated nature of the attack, the use of a silenced weapon, and the emotional detachment in the recording have led investigators to conclude that this was not a random act, but the work of someone with specialized training in executing targeted killings.
The suspect, who is currently in custody, reportedly planned the murder with precision, targeting the couple at their residence in Entebbe.
Sources within the security agencies say he may have been motivated by resentment and jealousy, based on statements made during interrogation.
Authorities have assured the public that investigations are ongoing and justice will be pursued for the slain couple, whose deaths have left the community in shock and mourning.
