BREAKING! Speeding Truck Kills Elephant in Murchison Falls National Park

An Elephant has been knocked dead by a speeding Truck along the Karuma – Pakwach highway in Murchison Falls National Park.

 

According to a statement released by Uganda Wildlife Authority, (UWA), the elephant was knocked a speeding truck registration number UBP 616E early today, Wednesday, November 06, 2024.

 

“We have sadly lost an elephant to a speeding truck (UBP 616E) along the Karuma – Pakwach highway in Murchison Falls National Park,” reads UWA statement.

 

The Authority reminds drivers that, “when driving through and adjacent to wildlife-rich zones please always make a conscious effort to slow down and prioritize the right of way for our wild friends.

 

Police is yet to give a statement surrounding the accidents and the state of the driver and or occupants of the truck by the time of filing this story.
