Police has today Monday, 4th November, 2024 issued a statement explaining circumstances surrounding a video that has gone viral depicting a woman defecating and urinating on a 10-month-old infant, whose identity has been withheld.
According to ACP Kituuma Rusoke, it is alleged that the child’s mother left the toddler in the care of the suspect, who then subjected the child to this horrific act. The video was later accessed by another individual who shared it on social media, leading to its widespread circulation.
He says Police picked interest in the matter and on November 1, 2024, at around 9:00PM apprehended Namawanjje Stella, a 34-year-old female resident of Binyonyi A cell in Nyendo Mukungwe division, Masaka city.
He says that Police condemns this act and that they pledge to ensure that the suspect accounts for her actions.
