SIRONKO
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Sironko district has summoned the Parish chief of Namuwenge Parish, Kobelo Sub County for allegedly adding nine ghost names on Namwenge Parish Development Model PDM SACCO list.
Nelson Kirenda told this publication today Monday, 4th November, 2024 that Polycarp Nangosha added 9 ghost names to the Namwenge Parish Development Model PDM SACCO list with the intention of swindling the money.
Kirenda says that 9 members from Namwenge parish missed PDM money during the last second phase.
He says that he directed Nangosha, to include these nine members who missed from the last second phase to the current third phase list.
Kiranda adds that unfortunately Nangosha picked nine ghost names and included them on the Third Phase List with the aim of swindling the money of nine members if it came.
He says after getting that intelligence information last week on Monday, as district leaders, they went to the ground to verify and get facts and indeed they proved that nine added, were ghost names.
The CAO says he has summoned the parish chief to appear before for an explanation warning that if found culpable, he might be interdicted.
Moses Wagoli, the LC3 Chairperson of Kikobelo Sub County attributes rampant abuse of PDM processes by Parish Chief to government’s deliberate move to sideline the political leadership.
