The territorial police in Ntungamo District has three suspects in custody in connection to the murder of Naekeree Kedress, a resident of Butare Ward, Kahunga Sub-county Ntungamo District.
According to a statement from Police, the deceased body was found hanging in front of the door of the house where she was staying with a grandson, and according to the grandson, two men grabbed and strangled her, and hanged her body.
When the Police sniffer dog Yudah was introduced to the scene of crime, it picked scent and tracked for about 1km and moved to the house of Mercy, the daughter in-law of the deceased who was subsequently arrested.
Police stated that Mercy has sofar revealed other three accomplices, two of whom have already been apprehended and in custody while the other on the run.
