Panic As 19-Year-Old Beautiful Senior Six Vacationist Goes Missing

The family of 19-year-old Christine Lizz Naluyange is living through every parent’s worst nightmare after their daughter mysteriously vanished last week. Christine, a Senior Six vacationist and former student at Bishop Cipriano Kihangire Secondary School, was last seen on the morning of Thursday, 5 June 2025.

Now, days later, the silence is deafening.

According to her elder sister, Joan Ruth Nassiwa, Christine failed to return home on Wednesday night — something completely out of character for the usually responsible and open teenager. Alarmed, the family launched a frantic search that same night.

A friend later confirmed seeing Christine the next morning, looking upbeat and chatting with others. She even borrowed a phone to message a few more friends before disappearing once again — this time, without a trace.

Christine’s personal phone, which was off on Wednesday, mysteriously came back online Thursday night and remained active until Friday evening. Then, silence. Both her MTN and Airtel numbers are now completely unreachable.

“It’s like she vanished into thin air,” her sister Joan said, holding back tears. “She had no reason to run away, no fights, no stress. She had just finished exams and was excited about her future.”

The family filed a missing person report at Mutungo Police Station on Saturday, 7 June. Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire acknowledged the report but had not responded to inquiries by press time. Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke confirmed that territorial police were now handling the investigation.

Described by friends as cheerful, friendly, and deeply responsible, Christine has no history of disappearing or going silent. She was reportedly spending her vacation at home, with plans to begin university later this year.

The Naluyange family has since turned to social media, printing flyers, and asking community leaders for help in spreading the word. Their message is clear and urgent: If you have seen Christine or have any information on her whereabouts, please report to the nearest police station or contact the family immediately.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward — no detail is too small. Time is ticking, and her family is holding on to hope that Christine will return home safe.
