A tragic accident on the Ore-Lagos Expressway in Ondo State, Nigeria, claimed at least 30 lives after two public service vehicles (PSVs) collided head-on and caught fire.
According to preliminary investigations, one of the buses was driving against traffic, leading to the crash. Of the 32 passengers involved, 28 were burned beyond recognition, while two survivors later died from their injuries.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) attributed the accident to reckless driving and excessive speeding. Authorities urge drivers to exercise caution and properly maintain their vehicles to prevent such tragedies.
Eyewitnesses reported that both buses burst into flames immediately after the crash, making escape difficult for passengers.
