Kampala, (UG):- The Police in Kampala are investigating the tragic death of a 12-year-old girl, Kagimu Bossa who fell into a 100-meter-deep well in Luwafu Abbas Zone, Makindye Division, a Kampala suburb.
The incident, police said, occurred Tuesday, January 21, 2025, prompting an immediate response from the Police Fire and Rescue Services. Despite the team’s swift efforts, the young girl could not be saved.
“The team responded to a distress call at Luwafu Abbas zone, where a 12-year-old girl, Kagimu Bossa, had fallen into a 100-meter deep well (shadoof). Unfortunately, she did not survive,” the police statement released Wednesday afternoon via X, read in part.
Additionally, a male security guard, who bravely attempted to rescue Kagimu, was rescued alive and rushed to Kirudu Referral Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
